ACTS Recovery Homes

Four Sober Living Homes Across Austin TX

Each of our homes operates under the same ACTS model – the same expectations, the same 12-Step foundation, and the same commitment to accountability. What makes each house unique is its community.

  • Collinfield home – Our original home, open since 2007. Serves men and women. The foundation of everything ACTS has built.
  • Pointer home – Structured sober living built around a tight accountability culture and a strong house community.
  • Aspen home – A home where the expectations are high, and the community is genuinely invested in each other’s recovery.
  • Meadows home – Our Austin, TX home, next door to our women’s home, with a strong community on both sides of the street.

What Recovery Looks Like at an ACTS Home

Recovery at ACTS is not passive. The structure is real, the expectations are consistent, and the community takes the work seriously. From the day a resident arrives, the expectation is the same: show up, stay accountable, and invest in the people around you.

The 12-Step program is the foundation of everything here. Meeting attendance, securing a sponsor, and completing the steps are required for all residents at all locations. Austin has one of the strongest AA and NA communities in Texas, and our homes put residents within reach of that community from day one. Most residents find their home group within the first week, and those connections often become the most lasting part of their time here.

Employment is the other pillar. Every resident is expected to be working or actively looking for work. Having a reason to get up in the morning, a routine that structures the day, and the self-respect that comes from earning your own way are all part of what ACTS is trying to build. Recovery and employment are not separate things here. They reinforce each other.

What Each Home Includes

All four ACTS homes include the same core amenities:

  • Furnished private rooms
  • Shared kitchen and dining room
  • Laundry on site
  • Wi-Fi throughout the home
  • Shared bathrooms

The homes are clean, well-maintained, and run to a standard that reflects the seriousness with which we approach recovery. Every location is in a quiet, established residential neighborhood close to employment, transit, and meetings.

What to Expect When You Move In

When you arrive at an ACTS home, your furnished room will be ready, and the house expectations will be clearly and completely walked through from day one. Your housemates will introduce themselves, and you will quickly get a sense of the community you have joined.

The first week is the hardest. New faces, new expectations, and a new daily structure all at once. Every person in the house has been through those same first days. The community does not let new residents navigate on their own, and the house’s structure makes the transition more manageable than most men expect.

For a full overview of the process, visit our admissions page or call (512) 900-5711, and we will walk you through it directly.

Who Is a Good Fit for an ACTS Home

Our homes are right for the man who is done trying to figure it out on his own. He is ready to be held accountable, willing to show up for the community around him, and serious enough about his recovery to live somewhere that takes it seriously, too.

He might be coming out of treatment, transitioning after a difficult period, or returning to recovery after time away. What matters is that he is ready. Not perfect. Not fully put together. Just ready to do the work inside a community that does it alongside him.

If you have been in sober living before and it did not work, ask yourself honestly whether the environment held you to a real standard. At ACTS, the standard is real, and the community enforces it.

Many men arrive at ACTS after multiple attempts at sobriety. What makes this environment different is not the rules themselves but the people living by them. When an entire house is committed to the same standard, accountability becomes part of the daily culture rather than something imposed from outside. That shift makes a significant difference in whether early recovery holds.
