Meadows Women's Sober Living Home Austin
Recovery as a woman can feel isolating. The pressures, the history, the particular ways that addiction takes hold — they are real, and they deserve a real response. Our home on South Meadows Drive in South Austin is that response. ACTS Meadows Women’s Sober Living Home is a safe, structured, women-only community built specifically to support women in recovery in Austin TX. Call us anytime at (512) 399-6264.
We have operated in Austin since 2007, and over the years we have learned a great deal about what women in recovery need. What we know for certain is this: the right environment, surrounded by the right community, changes everything.

About ACTS Meadows Women's Sober Living Home
Our Meadows Women’s home is part of the ACTS Recovery Homes network — five homes across Austin TX. This is the only dedicated women’s location in our network. It sits on South Meadows Drive, close to our Meadows Men’s Sober Living Home, and operates completely independently as a women’s-only community.
If you are looking for a broader overview of women’s sober living in Austin TX, we have more information on our main women’s page. This page covers our Meadows Women’s location specifically.
What the Home Includes
- Furnished private rooms
- Shared kitchen and dining room
- Laundry on site
- Wi-Fi throughout the home
- Shared bathrooms
The home is well-maintained and run to a standard that reflects the seriousness with which we take recovery. You deserve a home that reflects that too.
House Expectations
Every resident at our Meadows Women’s home lives by the same clear expectations:
- Curfew applies to all residents
- All residents must be working or actively seeking employment
- Regular 12-Step meeting attendance is required
- Random drug screenings are conducted for all residents
- Everyone participates in caring for the household
The accountability is real here, and it works both ways — you hold your housemates to it, and they hold you. The women who lean into these expectations consistently find that the structure becomes a foundation rather than a restriction.
A Women's Community
There is something specific about recovering in a house full of women who get it. Conversations happen differently. Support looks different. The particular things that women carry into recovery — and through it — are understood without explanation.
Our Meadows Women’s home is that kind of community. Residents support each other through the hard mornings, celebrate each other’s milestones, and build the kind of friendships that hold up long after they leave the house. If you are looking for that kind of connection alongside your sobriety, this is the right place.
A Day in the Life at Meadows Women's
Days at the Meadows Women’s home have the same essential structure as all ACTS homes — out in the mornings, back in the evenings — but the texture of daily life is shaped by the women who live here. Morning routines, shared meals, and evening conversations build the kind of community that makes sobriety sustainable rather than lonely.
South Austin’s women’s AA and NA meeting circuit is active and welcoming. Many Meadows Women’s residents find a women’s home group within the first week and build connections through the Austin recovery community that extend well beyond their time in the house.
Weekends open up for deeper recovery work — step work with sponsors, personal development, recreational activities, and the kind of rest that early recovery earns. The house supports residents in pursuing education, vocational goals, and the personal growth that sobriety makes possible.
What to Expect When You Move In
When you arrive at the Meadows Women’s home, you will be welcomed by women who remember their own first day — and everything it required. Your furnished room will be ready, you will be introduced to your housemates, and the house expectations will be walked through clearly and fully from the start.
The first week asks a lot. New expectations, new faces, new routines. The women at Meadows understand this — because every one of them has been through those same first days. The community here does not let new residents navigate that alone.
Visit our admissions page for a full overview of the process, or call (512) 399-6264 and we will walk you through it directly.
Who Thrives at Meadows Women's
The women who do best at Meadows are the ones who are ready to invest in the community as much as they draw from it. They come in willing to be held accountable, willing to hold others accountable, and willing to do the honest daily work that sobriety requires.
Many residents arrive having tried other sober living environments — some that felt unsafe, some that were not serious, some that simply were not built for women. The Meadows Women’s home is different. The community has been built deliberately, and it shows.
The South Meadows Neighborhood — South Austin
South Meadows Drive is a settled, residential street in Austin TX with easy access to public transportation, making it practical to get to work, meetings, and appointments without a car. The neighborhood is stable and established — exactly the kind of environment that early recovery benefits from.
Austin’s women’s AA and NA community is strong and welcoming. Many of our Meadows Women’s residents connect deeply with the local women’s meeting circuit, and those connections often become one of the most lasting parts of their recovery.
A Word from a Former Resident
“I was greeted with the most wonderful women on the planet — all around my age, all with struggles of substance abuse. Instead of being voted off the island, we have a house manager and Mike who make and enforce the house rules fairly. You must work, you must be sober, and you must be kind.”
